To reach that goal where Europe would not need to import green hydrogen or derived molecules, new capacity should grow twice as fast as last year over 2022-30, and three times as fast over 2030-50. As unrealistic as it may look, history shows that "we constantly underestimate whatever happens in terms of renewable capacity growth and cost decline."
