Gas producers in Western Canada benefited from a much different winter north of the border than in the US. Rather than the demand-stifling warm December seen in the US, Alberta saw extreme cold. Now, US demand is climbing as colder weather envelops the eastern half of North America, but winter is moderating in Western Canada.
