Gazprom has received an antitrust approval to buy 50% in Baltic Chemical Complex, the operator of a proposed 3 million metric ton/yr polyethylene plant near the gas giant’s Ust-Luga gas processing and LNG plant in northwestern Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service said on Jan. 10.
