US Storage Flips to Seasonal Surplus for First Time Since February

After staging a three-session rally into the upper $3.90s per million Btu last week, January gas futures fell hard Thursday, losing 24.5¢ to $3.731/MMBtu in an inevitable reversal. The contract had even toyed with moving above $4/MMBtu on both Wednesday and Thursday, but to have stayed aloft would have been akin to swimming up the Mississippi.
