Green Hydrogen Finding Serious Backers

European oil majors and utilities are starting to go beyond talk and putting some sizable cash into green hydrogen projects, in which the hydrogen is made using renewable electricity. This rising momentum should offer insights into where developers see the best growth opportunities and what attracts them to specific countries and sectors. In particular, green hydrogen projects are eyed in countries with access to abundant sources of low-cost renewable electricity and localized demand hotspots. Another lure is the presence of existing infrastructure — either to transport the hydrogen internally or to port facilities where it could be exported.
