Germany’s three-party coalition has agreed to form a government, and they're pursuing a slew of updated energy goals to accelerate the energy transition in Europe’s largest economy. The Greens, left-leaning Social Democrats and libertarian Free Democratic Party have agreed to stick to a massive expansion of renewable capacity while leaving the door open for an extended role for natural gas in the energy mix.
