Egypt, which is under pressure to prove its green credentials as host of next year's COP27 talks, is advancing a national hydrogen strategy and attracting a slew of recent investments. The country is weighing the best approach in terms of blue or gray hydrogen produced using natural gas or green hydrogen made from renewables — with blue and gray viewed as the more realistic options for now.
