What's especially significant in the Article 6 deal is the concept of "corresponding adjustment" that prevents double-counting of emissions reductions, he explains in an interview with Energy Intelligence. Article 6 is seen as a mechanism for facilitating international carbon markets or trading systems to give greater options for complying with emissions targets.
