Indeed, national pledges to reach net-zero now cover some 80% of the global economy according to Net-Zero Tracker, an initiative launched by NGOs and university scientists. At the corporate level, almost 600 out of the world's 2,000 largest listed companies have also pledged some sort of net-zero target. But those targets differ in terms of the intended dates, gases, boundaries and implementation tools. So what exactly do they entail?
