US alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) specialist Gevo is aiming to make more than 1 billion gallons per year of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other net-zero fuels by 2030, enough to meet a third of the new US SAF production target, by using ethanol as well as isobutanol as a feedstock in its ATJ process.
