US Oil Output Enters October on Upswing

Oil production in the US crept closer to its pre-Hurricane Ida level in the first week of October, according to estimates from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), although the actual week-to-week increase may have been quite small or even a regression due to the agency’s rounding practices.

The US major's capital spending will rise by more than 20% next year, but remains at the low end of its medium-term plans.
