Tatneft to Maximize Reserves Monetization

Russia's Tatneft will not amend oil production growth plans despite the low-carbon energy transition and will instead strive to monetize reserves before the oil era ends, company management said last week. The strategy coincides with a broad understanding in Russia that oil and gas will still have a crucial role in the global energy balance over the next couple decades and that producers should capitalize on their assets underground while there is still demand for hydrocarbons.
