Gas Processor Draws Fine

WTG Gas Processing will pay a $3.1 million fine to settle allegations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it violated the Clean Air Act in four separate incidents over 2016-18. Two of the accidents, in which air pollutants were released, resulted in the death of an employee. The consent decree filed by the Department of Justice still must be approved by the federal court in Abilene, Texas.

How much profit inflation will consume will depend on the efficiency gains companies have made over the last few years.
