An ever-more assertive Washington is shifting the dynamics of the global newbuild market, taking a cue from Moscow's playbook to fend off Chinese and Russian competition in key European markets. This assertive strategy is bolstered by a broader US geopolitical campaign against both Rosatom and Chinese reactor vendors on security grounds. This new US playbook is expected to be applied in other markets, such as Brazil, Saudi Arabia and South Africa, should their programs solidify.
