The construction of Nord Stream 2 was finally completed last week, marking a crucial step toward the long-delayed launch of the 55 billion cubic meter per year offshore gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. But the start date remains up in the air as political risks persist at the stage of last regulatory approvals, which may potentially delay it until mid-2022.
