More Than Half of US Gulf Output Restored

More workers have returned to offshore oil and natural gas platforms and more than half the daily crude production has resumed in the US Gulf of Mexico while uncertainty remained at several facilities downstream more than two weeks after Hurricane Ida tore through the region.

Crude futures were down on Monday amid broader market jitters, with the potential default of a major Chinese property developer in focus.
