Mitsubishi in Canadian Hydrogen MOU With Shell

Japanese trading house Mitsubishi has signed a memorandum of understanding with Royal Dutch Shell for the production of blue hydrogen, to be transported as ammonia. Production would be near the former’s proposed Polaris carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility near Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. Production is eyed toward the second half of this decade.
