Opec-Plus Compliance Soars in August

Technical issues in several countries kept oil production in Opec-plus largely flat in August. As a result, the compliance rate for the alliance came to 117%, Energy Intelligence caluculates, one of the highest levels in the 16 months the new agreement has been in force. For the first time compliance among the nine non-Opec members surpassed 100%, due mainly to a steep fall in Kazakhstan, where the Chevron-operated Tengiz field is undergoing maintenance.
