Strong demand and limited marginal supply have fueled surging global gas prices. With less new capacity on stream in 2021, and the need to refill storage and start winter buying approaching, we expect market strength to persist into next year. High prices offer LNG producers a short-term boost, but could also erode future demand, leaving greenfield ventures facing continued challenges.
