Oil & Money, the market-leading conference, convened by the International New York Times and Energy Intelligence, has today announced the recipients of the 2015 Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship.

The scholarship aims to support the next generation of global industry leaders and executives with a coveted place at the annual Oil & Money conference, which takes place in London on October 6th and 7th, 2015. Those selected will also attend the Energy Intelligence Petroleum Executive of the Year Award Dinner along with receiving assistance for travel and accommodation.

The 2015 Oil & Money Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship recipients include:

  • Mohamed Tariq Al Hamami (United Arab Emirates)
  • Hannah Braun (Poland)
  • Denis Feoktistov (Russia)
  • Vanina Gergorin (United States)
  • Sebastien Guitton (France)
  • Jennifer N. Heullant (United States)
  • Weiqi Li (China)
  • Steven Mueller (Germany)
  • Paul Odongo (Uganda)
  • Frederick Ritter (Canada)

Sarah White, a member of the Leaders for Tomorrow Selection Committee, said, “This scholarship looks to provide the next generation of energy professionals with a unique opportunity to engage with today’s influential leaders in the oil and gas industry. The judging panel was really impressed with the number and caliber of applications this year. However, it was the tremendous level of thought and insight demonstrated by this year’s successful recipients that differentiated them from the pack. We hope their attendance to the conference will start them on the path to a fulfilling career in this dynamic and exciting industry.”

Sebastien Guitton, a 2015 scholarship winner, said, “I have no doubt that this will be a once in a lifetime experience for me to meet and network with top oil and gas executives as well as learn about the latest trends and development in the industry.”

Launched in 2013 with the initial support of Christophe de Margerie, then Chairman and CEO of Total, the scholarship looks to support the next generation of leaders and executives in the oil and gas industry. Prior to 2015, it has provided 30 conference places to ambitious graduates.

The Oil & Money conference, now in its 36th year, is jointly convened by the International New York Times and Energy Intelligence. The conference brings together energy and finance leaders to discuss the current and emerging issues confronting the international oil and gas industry.

The 2015 Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship program is sponsored by Mercantil and Weatherford International.
