Energy Intelligence announced today that its annual conference, the Energy Intelligence Forum, will move online this year, due to the ongoing complications of the Coronavirus. The Digital Forum, which will still be held on October 13-15, 2020, will examine the unprecedented impact of the global pandemic on the energy industry and the continued search for new energy solutions, as part of its theme: The Big Energy Reset: Covid, Climate, Consequences.

To tackle the biggest questions in energy at this pivotal time, the event will feature the industry’s top officials, including Amin Nasser, President & Chief Executive Officer, Saudi Aramco; Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Dutch Shell; Vicki Hollub, President & CEO, Occidental; and Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Total. Event sessions will be conducted via video conference and streamed to registered delegates via the Forum website, which will offer a range of interactive tools and a Video-on-Demand library.

“The safety of our speakers and delegates is our biggest priority, and we strongly believe the move to an online platform is necessary for a successful event this year,” said Alex Schindelar, President of Energy Intelligence. “We are excited about using a premium digital platform to further the mission of the Forum, which is to discuss and develop sustainable solutions to the energy challenges of the 21st century.”

Before the coronavirus, disruption was everywhere. Energy was diversifying. Corporates and consumers were adjusting to climate change and decarbonization, as the search for new energy solutions placed huge pressures on industry structures that have endured for decades. Now, the pandemic has accelerated chaos, change and confusion.

The Energy Intelligence Digital Forum will provide a unique platform to assess this fast-moving scenario as old assumptions are overturned, and new opportunities are discovered.

Amin Nasser, President & Chief Executive Officer, Saudi Aramco is the 2020 winner of the Energy Intelligence Energy Executive of the Year. The award will be presented by the 2019 winner, Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Dutch Shell, as part of the digital forum proceedings.

Registration is now open, and updates on the event format, agenda and speakers can be viewed at energyintelligenceforum.com.
