    Eni has abandoned its bid to buy Canadian Heritage Oil’s operating stakes in two oil exploration blocks in Uganda’s Lake Albert Basin, Heritage said Monday, after the Ugandan government backed partner Tullow Oil’s move to block the deal and buy the stakes itself (Tuesday, February 9, 2010)
    Abu Dhabi Turns to Tricky Oil Fields
    Abu Dhabi will have to develop more complicated oil fields -- which could add up to 250,000 barrels per day of production -- if it wants to meet its long-stated goal of having 1.8 million b/d of onshore output, according to Adco General Manager Abdul Munim al-Kindi. (Tuesday, February 9, 2010)
