Exxon Chief Declares Resource Nationalism 'Counterproductive'

Exxon Mobil's top executive said Monday that decisions by some countries to pursue "isolationist or protectionist" energy policies could damage the global economy. "Over the long term, such isolationism and resource nationalism is counterproductive, hurts those who have the greatest need for energy to support economic progress, and undermines our shared goals of economic development, supply security and environmental protection," Tillerson said during a speech to the World Energy Congress.
